Tin Caps Reading

Just a reminder about the Tin Caps reading incentive.
Students are receiving a different looking reading log for this program. They should have already turned in one reading log last Friday. They are completing their second one this week and will receive two more. The final reading log for this program will be turned in on Friday, March 6.
These logs are to be completed and turned in each Friday just like our other reading log. Students will still get a grade for the reading log. If they are able to turn in all four reading logs, they will also receive a free ticket voucher for a Fort Wayne Tin Caps game! The school's game is on Sunday, April 26, but you are able to choose a different date if need be.

Words of the Week

This week's words: strive, theme, similar, thorough

Please review these words with your child each night. We take a quiz every Friday over our words and what the words mean.

Valentine's Day Box

Students brought home information on Friday regarding a Valentine's Day box they are to make. Since we have been reviewing measurement, the box is a great way for your child to show off their measurement skills. Students will be receiving a grade on this project. Look for a rubric in your email. Please help your child if needed, but please let them complete their box. It's a chance for them to show their creativity and have a little fun! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Valentine's Party

We will be having a small Valentine's Day party on Friday, February 13. If your child would like to bring in valentines for their classmates, there was a class list sent home on Friday. Your child is also more than welcome to bring in a treat or drinks for the class. We have 16 students in our class.
